October 24, 2019 – Legacy Societies: How to Launch and Re-Energize your Legacy Society for Building Lasting Relationships

In the long-range game of Planned Giving, donor stewardship is key to accelerating the unlocking of greater gifts. Moving people from “toe in the water” to full immersion takes time and patience. One vital goal of any fundraiser or gift planner is to move donors along a pipeline of stewardship, which should ultimately result in becoming a legacy society member – a community of passionate members who should be engaged, excited, involved, and satisfied. In this session, we will cover the basics of how a Legacy Society is a critical component for long-term sustainability. We will be examining case studies of other nonprofits and their unique approaches to their legacy societies.
Steven Walker represents Crescendo Interactive as the Central Integrated Marketing Specialist. In the time he has been with Crescendo, he has opened the doors to numerous planned giving programs; introducing marketing strategies and concepts. He comes from a long history of sales and marketing, working for companies like Spirited Foods and Coca-Cola in market development. His primary goal is to help non-profits expand their brand recognition and help educate their donors on charitable planned giving.
