J. Shannon Fleming, Ed.D, with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences will present a program titled, “Blended Gifts”

J. Shannon Fleming, Ed.D –
Shannon has 30 years of experience in higher education with the majority of it in Advancement/Development. He is currently the Senior Director of Development at the Donald W. Reynolds Institute on Aging at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He has held previous positions as the Executive Director of the University of Southern Mississippi Foundation, Vice President of Advancement at Philander Smith College, and Associate Vice President for Development at the University of Central Arkansas. After years of administrative work, Shannon is enjoying his current position as a front line fundraiser and is using it as a way to reconnect with his fundraising roots and recommitment to lifelong learning. He was named the AFP Arkansas Professional Fundraiser of the year in 2016. He is married to Kelly, a talented fundraiser in her own right as Director of Development at the Arkansas Arts Center.
